Overview
Andrew Kaver focuses his practice in the areas of corporate, transactional, real estate, cannabis, and intellectual property law. Mr. Kaver represents corporate and individual clients in a broad range of issues including contracts, cannabis laws and regulations, security instruments, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, trademarks, copyrights, and general corporate law. He has successfully obtained trademarks and copyrights for clients in various industries including entertainment, hospitality, clothing and apparel, and cannabis.
As a corporate attorney, he has often been called upon to provide outside general counsel services and legal advice on all matters, such as corporate formation and governance, employment, real estate, trademark and copyright, construction, and business transactions. On the regulatory side, he has successfully obtained a number of cannabis licenses throughout California, including one of the first on-site consumption lounges in the state. He has also represented clients in business transactions that included regulatory aspects. Mr. Kaver has appeared before state and local regulatory agencies, city councils, and advisory committees on behalf of several clients.
Mr. Kaver began his legal career in New York, working for both the City of New York and private firms for several years before relocating to Los Angeles in 2011. Immediately prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, he worked at a boutique law firm where he focused on real estate, commercial transactions and contracts. Mr. Kaver also had his own corporate and regulatory practice in Los Angeles and Redondo Beach for several years.
He enjoys helping his clients come up with creative solutions and is always focused on achieving the results that they desire.
