Overview
Myah Drouin focuses her practice on D&O, professional liability defense and insurance coverage.
She has assisted in representing companies, boards, executives, and professionals in state and federal courts in matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, and other business disputes. Her experience also includes proceedings in U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and matters arising under Title 11 of the U.S. Code, as well as class actions involving breach of contract and data privacy claims.
Ms. Drouin represents primary and excess insurance carriers in coverage disputes and related litigation and has served as monitoring and coverage counsel. She also has experience with shareholder derivative actions, class actions, and breach of contract and bad faith claims.
Ms. Drouin first joined Kaufman Dolowich as a law clerk. During law school, she served as a judicial intern to a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and to the Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. She was also Executive Articles Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. In addition, she was a fellow in the inaugural class of the St. John’s Law Center for Bankruptcy Studies and served as the founding Vice President of the St. John’s Bankruptcy Law Society.
