Overview

Kevin P. Yombor focuses his practice on labor and employment, directors and officers, commercial litigation, municipal law, and general liability defense.

Mr. Yombor’s practice is diverse and includes handling complex commercial litigation involving directors and officers and employment liability, including breach of contract, and breach of duties. Mr. Yombor represents clients in all areas of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual assault, and wage and hour violations, including any matters arising under the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Mr. Yombor also regularly counsels community housing associations relating to director and officer disputes and the Fair Housing Act (FHA), including in federal and state courts and state and local agencies. He has also counseled gaming and hospitality clients in employment law, collections, and general liability matters.

Viewing cases in a pragmatic and business minded manner, Mr. Yombor is an experienced litigator, utilizing his skills to obtain favorable results for his clients, both in a courtroom and through alternative dispute resolutions. He also participates in pre-suit liability investigation, management, and mitigation of risk to help clients better evaluate their legal options.

Licensed in Michigan and Florida, Mr. Yombor litigates in State and Federal Court, as well as arbitrates before The American Arbitration Association (AAA). He has also helped clients with legal disputes throughout the country, having pro hac vice in Wisconsin, and admittance in the Tribal Court of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. 

Additionally, Mr. Yombor has been recently acknowledged as a 2025 Rising Star on the Super Lawyers List for Employment and Labor.
