Overview
Kenneth Coronel focuses his practice on construction law and professional liability and commercial litigation.
With more than 35 years in practice, he has extensive experience as a litigator and as in-house and outside general counsel.
Mr. Coronel represents developers, project managers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in all aspects of construction litigation, including contractual disputes, construction defects, mechanics liens and payment claim disputes. His broader litigation experience includes business disputes, insurance defense, and employment matters.In his professional liability practice, Mr. Coronel defends engineers, architects and other professionals in a range of matters, including claims involving negligence, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. He also has experience handling matters involving homeowners associations (HOAs) and condominium complexes.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Coronel has represented clients in state and federal courts in matters involving claims totaling more than $800 million. He has tried cases to verdict and has resolved hundreds of matters through arbitration and mediation.
An AV-rated attorney, Mr. Coronel spent five years as Chief Legal Officer of a data and technology company that served as a key vendor to the healthcare industry. He was also a partner at a national litigation firm where he focused on construction, business and commercial litigation.
