Overview
David Group focuses his practice on general liability defense and insurance coverage litigation, including premises liability, property damage, labor law, motor vehicle-related accidents, and professional liability matters, including medical and broker malpractice.
He has more than 20 years of experience handling first-party property coverage matters nationwide, as well as subrogation, professional liability, and E&O claims.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Group served as coverage counsel for CNA, where he handled a broad range of first-party property, fidelity and general liability matters through all stages of litigation. He previously was a partner at a New York litigation firm, representing clients in a wide range of general liability defense and coverage matters throughout the United States in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Group has handled numerous first-party coverage matters of first impression, including those arising from catastrophic events such as the World Trade Center disaster, Hurricane Katrina, and Superstorm Sandy. Throughout his career, he has represented some of the nation’s largest insurance carriers.
