Overview
Adam J. Casner focuses his practice on employment defense, professional liability, and commercial litigation, representing employers and professionals in state and federal courts.
Mr. Casner defends employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA), as well as wage and hour and family leave claims. His clients include companies in transportation, energy, hospitality, and the public sector.
In his professional liability practice, Mr. Casner represents professionals in malpractice and ethics matters, including attorneys, accountants, insurance producers, real estate professionals, and architects.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Casner advised on civil litigation, corporate governance, and regulatory matters, including cannabis licensing and compliance. During law school, Mr. Casner served as a judicial law clerk in the Law Division, Civil Part in Newark, New Jersey, and interned with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
