Overview
Steve Belilove represents management in labor and employment matters, defending international, national, and local employers, public employers, and nonprofit organizations in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants, and wage-and-hour claims. He represents clients in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, before federal, state, and local human rights commissions, and before other government agencies.
His practice also includes professional liability and personal injury defense, with an emphasis on legal and medical malpractice. He represents directors, officers, and executives, both individually and in matters involving their companies, in employment disputes, products liability claims, general liability actions, and breach of fiduciary duty litigation.
Mr. Belilove has extensive appellate litigation experience, handling appeals before California state and federal appellate courts involving professional liability, general business disputes, post-trial matters, and internet privacy rights. His published opinions include Rare Coin Galleries v. A-Mark Coin Co., 202 Cal. App. 3d 330 (1988).
Mr. Belilove previously served as head of the Fraud Unit at a major Southern California company, where he handled catastrophic injury cases. He has also served on the defense panels of numerous national insurance companies.
