Stanley D. Blyth

Overview

Stanley Blyth focuses his practice on labor and employment.

Mr. Blyth brings more than 30 years of experience representing employers in California in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims in state and federal courts.

He advises business owners, managers, and human resources professionals on employment matters and litigation strategy, as well as risk management and workplace compliance.

A seasoned litigator, Mr. Blyth has tried approximately 33 jury trials and represents employers at every stage of litigation, from pre-suit counseling and pleadings through trial, arbitration, appeal, and resolution. He also has extensive experience in bench trials and appellate matters. Mr. Blyth has argued before the California Supreme Court, including in the published decision Davis v. Fresno Unified School District (2023), and has handled other notable appellate matters, including J&A Mash & Barrel, LLC v. Superior Court of Fresno County (2022). He has also been admitted pro hac vice in federal courts in Colorado, Iowa, and New Mexico, representing clients in multi-jurisdictional employment disputes.

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Blyth served in leadership roles at several California law firms, including as a founding partner and shareholder, where he focused on labor and employment litigation, complex civil litigation, and appellate matters. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
