Posted Jul 28, 2026

LOS ANGELES (July 28, 2026) – Kaufman Dolowich, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Stanley D. Blyth, joining the firm as a partner in its Los Angeles office, further expanding the firm’s growing Labor & Employment practice in California. He joins from a national defense law firm, where he was a partner.

“Stan is an accomplished trial attorney whose courtroom experience, strategic approach, and deep understanding of California employment law make him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Dove A.E. Burns, Regional Managing Partner of Kaufman Dolowich’s California offices. “As employers continue to navigate California’s increasingly complex regulatory environment, his ability to efficiently resolve high-stakes employment disputes will benefit our clients. His arrival also reflects our continued commitment to strategically growing our presence throughout California.”

Blyth brings more than three decades of experience defending employers in complex labor and employment litigation throughout California. A seasoned trial lawyer who has tried more than 30 jury cases and numerous arbitrations, he represents employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters in state and federal courts. His experience also includes appellate advocacy, including successfully arguing Davis v. Fresno Unified School District before the California Supreme Court which established important precedent on taxpayer challenges to multimillion-dollar public construction contracts in California.

“Kaufman Dolowich has built an outstanding reputation for its labor and employment practice and for its continued investment in California,” said Blyth. “I’m thrilled to reunite with my longtime friend and colleague Philip Allingham. Through that relationship, and from working alongside Kaufman Dolowich attorneys over the years on a number of matters, I’ve seen first-hand and admired the firm’s collaborative culture and exceptional lawyers.”

Blyth earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, and received his B.A. in Political Science with distinction from Sonoma State University. Prior to completing his undergraduate education, he served in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Sergeant and earning both the Commandant’s Commendation and the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal.
