Overview

Salayha K. Ghoury focuses her practice on professional liability and employment law.

Ms. Ghoury represents individuals, businesses, professionals, and organizations in a wide range of litigation matters, including professional liability claims, employment disputes, and other complex matters. She also counsels employers on workplace-related issues and risk management strategies.

She has substantial experience in both trial and appellate courts, having successfully litigated matters through verdict and judgment in state and federal courts, including before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her broad litigation background allows her to provide practical, strategic counsel at every stage of a dispute, from pre-suit evaluation through appeal.

Prior to joining KD, Ms. Ghoury worked at a civil litigation and defense law firm, where she handled a variety of complex matters. Earlier in her career, she practiced at several regional and national law firms, managing cases through all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.

Outside of her practice, Ms. Ghoury is actively engaged in her community and supports organizations and initiatives that strengthen the communities in which she lives and works. She is an active member of the Edward J. McFetridge Inn of Court and enjoys collaborating with fellow legal professionals while contributing to the development of the profession. She also mentors students at local middle and high schools and frequently volunteers her time coaching Mock Trial teams.

Ms. Ghoury is fluent in both Urdu and Spanish.
