Overview

Michael Sheehan concentrates his practice in labor and employment law and professional liability.  Micheal representing clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, defending employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodation, employee misconduct, and other employment claims, including those arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Pennsylvania employment laws. Michael handles wage and hour under both federal and state laws, in addition to counseling employers on day-to-day workplace policies, employee discipline, compliance, and investigations.

Mr. Sheehan represents lawyers, accountants, brokers, directors and officers, and other professionals in professional liability matters involving allegations of negligence and breach of duty.

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Sheehan served as labor and employment counsel to one of the nation’s largest public school systems, where he handled litigation across multiple venues and advised on employment matters. He previously served as an Assistant City Solicitor, advising City departments on labor and employment compliance, workplace investigations, and litigation strategy.
