Overview
Megan Gardner focuses her practice on construction law and commercial litigation.
She represents clients in a broad range of matters related to construction and real property disputes, including contract disputes, defect and delay claims, commercial disputes and mechanic’s lien claims. Her diverse client base includes general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, commercial real estate developers, and property management companies.
Ms. Gardner is experienced in representing clients at construction arbitrations and mediations, especially before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS, as well as in trials, evidentiary hearings, administrative hearings, and arguing motions in court.
Ms. Gardner also represents a wide variety of clients in connection with the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts, and contracts relating to the development of commercial and residential properties, including access and license agreements.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, she was an Associate at a boutique law firm in Manhattan, where she focused on construction and real estate litigation and transactions.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lake Ridge Academy, an independent, private K-12 school in Northeastern Ohio, and is also a member of their Alumni Council.
