Overview
Lysa Friedlieb focuses her practice on commercial litigation, professional liability, and general liability, representing clients in both state and federal court.
Ms. Friedlieb is a seasoned litigator who defends and advises clients across the private, insurance, and nonprofit sectors. She represents directors and officers (D&O) facing claims of breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of contract, and homeowners associations (HOA) and condominiums in construction defect litigation and corporate governance disputes. She also handles a range of matters for community and nonprofit associations relating to lien matters, DBPR Complaints as well as HUD and EEOC matters.
Additionally, Ms. Friedlieb defends clients in complex contract disputes including architects, engineers, and general contractors. Her practice has also included trying bad faith cases in federal court, litigating coverage issues as well as the defense of home builders in the Chinese Drywall Mass Tort Litigation in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, she also handled first-party property claims, product liability, catastrophic injury, and personal injury matters.
