Overview

Kathleen Mullins concentrates her practice in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage and litigation, cyber liability, general liability, and commercial and transactional litigation.

She represents a broad range of professionals in defense of allegations of errors, omissions, malpractice, and negligence. Ms. Mullins defends businesses, individuals, and their insurers against claims alleging a violation of professional or ethical standards in courts, before regulatory bodies, and at arbitrations and mediations.

In her insurance coverage practice, Ms. Mullins advises clients on policy interpretation and potential exposures, representing both insurers and insureds in litigation involving commercial general liability, professional liability/errors and omissions, and subrogation claims. Her practice also includes advising clients on representations and warranties, reinsurance agreements, and the insurance and risk implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other complex corporate transactions.

Ms. Mullins represents clients in all stages of litigation including preparing and arguing motions for summary judgment/dismissal, discovery disputes, and motions in limine relating to expert testimony and other evidentiary issues at trial.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Mullins practiced in the areas of premises liability, legal malpractice defense, nursing home negligence, and insurance coverage. She defended medical practitioners and health care facilities in high-risk exposure matters across New York State.
