Overview
Katherine Alphonso focuses her practice on data privacy and cybersecurity, specifically advising on best practices for California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), various areas of employment law, business litigation, and transactional business law. She counsels on collective Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) matters, discrimination claims, wrongful termination & retaliation actions, ADA web and structural access disputes, and unfair competition allegations.
Ms. Alphonso drafts and reviews various contracts including partnership formations, contractor/subcontractor agreements, and commercial lease agreements. In homeowners’ association (HOA) matters, she defends disputes around Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) and individual homeowner rights, as well as HOA obligations and assessments. In addition, she performs clearance searches and risk assessments for advising on trademark availability.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Alphonso worked in the dialysis industry overseeing licensing and compliance requirements.
