Overview

Jennifer Prior is of counsel and has more than a decade of experience concentrating in labor and employment law.

She represents employers in all areas of employment litigation. She manages cases involving employment discrimination including age and disability discrimination, alleged claims of retaliation, and wrongful discharge on the basis of protected categories. These defense matters include claims of age, disability, race, gender, national origin, and religious discrimination. Ms. Prior defends employers in federal and state courts and before administrative and governing agencies such as the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC).

Specifically, Ms. Prior assists employers in the defense of claims of discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and other federal and state statutes. She also has extensive experience representing municipalities in Pennsylvania on a wide range of issues including personnel matters, collective bargaining, zoning and land development.  

Ms. Prior returns to Kaufman Dolowich, after briefly practicing at a national litigation law firm in Philadelphia, where she defended employers in a wide array of employment claims. Earlier in her career, she represented private companies and insurance carriers and their insureds before federal and state courts and agencies, as well as handled matters related to municipal law and land use.
