Overview

Heather Caughron focuses her practice on employment law and commercial litigation.

She defends employers in cases of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wage and hour class actions, whistleblower retaliation claims, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions. Ms. Caughon provides counseling and advice to employers on employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and personnel matters. In her commercial litigation work, she defends businesses in matters of contract disputes, bad faith claims, and negligence.

Before joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Caughron was an employment law associate at boutique California law firms. Previously, she also served at the Santa Clara County and Alameda County, CA Public Defender offices.

Ms. Caughron is proficient in French.
