Haruto Cheng

Overview

Haruto Cheng focuses his practice on labor and employment law and general liability. 

Mr. Cheng represents clients in employment matters in wage and hour compliance and employment practices defense. He defends against claims of alleged discrimination, employment disputes, in class actions, and collective Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions. Mr. Cheng represents management and insurance carrier clients in various general liability matters including claims of property damage.

Additionally, Mr. Cheng is CIPP/US Certified, (Certified Information Privacy Professionals/United States) for data protection, information auditing, information security, legal compliance and/or risk management. 

Prior to Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Cheng was an associate and a law clerk at a law firm based in Newark, CA working on general civil litigation matters. During law school, Mr. Cheng was a law clerk at a tech company assisting in corporate and privacy law matters. He also served as a third-year law student Student Bar Association school representative and was the co-communication chair for the Privacy Law Student Organization.
