Overview
Daniel Brainard focuses his practice on insurance coverage and litigation involving the financial services industry. He advises insurers on policy matters involving commercial crime, fidelity bonds, directors and officers liability, and professional liability errors and omissions. His work includes coverage analysis, dispute resolution, monitoring, and litigation.
Before joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Brainard spent five years in the insurance defense practice of a Midwest-based law firm. During law school, he served as an editor of the Review of Intellectual Property Law, competed on the Cardozo Entertainment Law Moot Court Team, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Contracts.
