Asit Panwala

Overview

Asit Panwala represents clients in a range of industries in the areas of employment law, professional liability, general liability, and commercial litigation. He has more than 20 years of experience practicing law in California and New York and has conducted investigations into ethical and legal violations, drawing on his extensive background in professional liability and litigation. He assists both organizations and individuals who are targets of civil and criminal investigations. 

Mr. Panwala has represented clients in matters involving general liability, fraud, wrongful death, assault, voters’ rights, and domestic violence. He has conducted more than 40 jury trials in cases involving homicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault at the Bronx and San Francisco District Attorney’s Offices. He is also certified by the California State Bar as a Criminal Law Specialist. 

Previously, he was a solo practitioner and successfully argued in the California Supreme Court for the expansion of the voters’ right to referendum.
