Overview
Arlet Gutierrez concentrates on commercial litigation, general liability, labor and employment, and professional liability.
Ms. Gutierrez represents and advises clients in a range of civil litigation matters in court, through arbitration, and in mediation. In her labor and employment practice, she provides counsel to clients and defends businesses in matters of personnel policies and agreements and a range of employment matters. Her general liability defense work includes defending clients in property damage and premises liability claims. Ms. Gutierrez defends professionals in claims of negligence, including (HOA) Homeowners Associations. In her commercial litigation work, she represents clients in real estate disputes.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Gutierrez handled a range of civil litigation matters including general liability at two Florida law firms. Her more previous experience included criminal case handling and trying cases at the State Attorney’s Office, in the Fifth Judicial Circuit. During law school, Ms. Gutierrez served at a law firm working on homeowners association assessments, and consumer debt disputes.
Ms. Gutierrez is fluent in Spanish.
