Overview
Adena Chen focuses her defense practice on employment law, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
She defends employers in claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and PAGA actions. Additionally, Ms. Chen defends a range of professionals in breach of duty actions and provides counsel to clients in business litigation and partnership disputes.
Before joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Chen was an defense associate working on commercial litigation and shareholder disputes, business management defense, complex tort and casualty, real estate, and product liability. Additionally, she worked in legal tech on artificial intelligence models for complex agreements. While in law school, she was managing editor of the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal, and president of the school’s Asian and Pacific American Law Student Association. She received a Student Leadership Award for contributions, outstanding service and leadership.
Ms. Chen is fluent in Chinese Cantonese.
