Partner Zascha Blanco Abbott Joins Kaufman Dolowich’s Labor and Employment Team in Florida, 8-2-2023

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (August 2, 2023) – Kaufman Dolowich, a leading national law firm, today announced that Zascha Blanco Abbott has joined the firm as a partner in Florida in the Ft. Lauderdale office. Abbott joins the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group and brings more than 20 years’ experience focused primarily on counseling employers in employment-related matters and in litigation proceedings on their behalf.

Abbott represents management teams ranging from small locally owned entities to large national and international corporations throughout various industries. She counsels clients on a range of issues including wage and hour, ADA accessibility, discrimination and harassment claims, Family and Medical Leave Act, disability discrimination and Employment Practices Liability Insurance matters.

Abbott maintains an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named among the Best Lawyers in America in Employment Law (2023). Actively involved in the American Bar Association, Abbott was recently appointed to serve as the Diversity Vice Chair for the Corporate Counsel Committee’s Litigation Section, and as editor of the TIPS’ (Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section) Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal. A leader within The Florida Bar, Abbott is the immediate past chair of its Council of Sections, and a former chair of its Labor and Employment Law Section.

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Abbott was a Labor & Employment Partner at Lewis Brisbois, and prior to that, she was with several firms in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. She also previously served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Miami, where she represented various departments in employment-related lawsuits and provided counsel on labor and employment issues.
