“National Law Firm Relocates Philadelphia Office to One Liberty Place,” Philadelphia Business Journal, Gregory Hyman, Esq. featured, 3-8-2023

Posted Mar 9, 2023

New York-based Kaufman Dolowich Voluck has moved its Center City office to One Liberty Place, signing a five-year lease in the 61-story office tower. The firm was previously located in Four Penn Center at 1600 John F. Kennedy Blvd., where it had 8,532 square feet. It will occupy 7,187 square feet on the 48th floor of One Liberty at 1650 Market St.
Gregory Hyman, co-managing partner of Kaufman Dolowich’s Philadelphia office, said One Liberty provides a more functional space for the firm’s purposes. He said the offices at Four Penn Center had a number of conference rooms, which are not as necessary in today’s hybrid work environment that requires more remote meetings. The One Liberty offices have just one conference room and more individual offices.
“We had reached our maximum capacity at the other space,” Hyman said. “So while we have less square footage here, we have much more functional space.”
Hyman said the 220-lawyer firm, which has a national presence, also liked the idea of being at One Liberty, considered to be one of the premier Center City office towers. It specifically liked amenities such as the food court and Shops at Liberty Place, a gym and a common meeting room for events.
One Liberty’s relatively narrow 24,000-square-foot floor plates are particularly inviting to law firms, who over the last two decades have eliminated or greatly reduced paper files and support staff that had traditionally occupied the interior office space. SEE FULL ARTICLE AT “READ MORE”
