Kaufman Dolowich Welcomes Employment and Professional Liability Partner Carya Gail Bradford as Partner in Orlando, 2-18-2026

Posted Feb 18, 2026

ORLANDO, Fla. (February 18, 2026) – Kaufman Dolowich, a leading national law firm, today announced that Carya Gail Bradford has joined the firm’s Orlando office as a partner. Bradford brings more than 20 years of experience representing employers, government entities, and professionals in complex labor and employment and professional liability matters and in constitutional and civil rights claims.

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Carya – first as an adversary, and then as a friend – for more than 20 years; I could not be happier to welcome her to our firm,” said Abbye Alexander, Co-Managing Partner of Kaufman Dolowich’s Orlando office. “Going up against her early in my career was absolutely formative to the development of my skills as a litigator. She made me a better, smarter and stronger lawyer. I know my practice, my colleagues, and our clients, will benefit from having her on our side.”

Bradford defends governmental and private employers in workplace matters involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblower claims, employee discipline and termination, and related issues in administrative proceedings and state and federal litigation. Additionally, she conducts workplace investigations and assists with policy development and implementation, conducts training sessions, and presents on employment and public safety topics. Her professional liability practice includes representing attorneys and other professionals in claims involving breach of fiduciary duty and negligence. She has experience representing local governments, particularly in public safety and employment matters, and advises and represents school boards in matters involving Title IX, negligence, and related claims.

An experienced appellate attorney, Bradford has handled cases through appeal, regularly briefing and arguing before state and federal appellate courts. She advises employers in responding to charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR), and counsels clients on workplace, public safety, and public records issues to reduce the risk of disputes and litigation.

“Throughout my career, I have been committed to providing practical counsel to employers and public entities facing complex and often sensitive challenges. I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues in Florida and across Kaufman Dolowich’s national platform, with the dedication and thoughtful approach that has always guided my practice,” said Bradford.

Bradford joins KD from a regional law firm focused primarily on insurance defense, where she was a shareholder. Prior to entering private practice, Bradford was an attorney for the City of Atlanta where she represented the City and its employees in federal, state, and administrative proceedings. She also advised the City Council during public meetings and provided legal support to the Department of Corrections concerning internal investigations and disciplinary actions.

Bradford earned her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, her M.S. from the University of Baltimore, and her B.A. from Goucher College. She is a member of the Florida Bar Animal Law, Appellate Practice, City, County and Local Government Law, and Labor and Employment Law sections, and is a non-voting member of the Florida Association of Police Attorneys. She serves as volunteer legal counsel to Florida Dachshund rescue organizations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carya to our growing Florida team,” said Bruce Liebman, Co-Managing Partner of Kaufman Dolowich’s Florida offices. “She brings a rare combination of sophisticated litigation experience, appellate strength, and deep knowledge of government and employment matters, strengthening our ability to serve employers, public entities, and professionals at every stage of litigation.”
