Overview
Theodore Hillebrand focuses his practice on labor and employment law, defending employers in wage and hour disputes and representing clients in claims brought by current and former employees alleging workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights, local Commissions on Human Rights, and the Department of Labor (DOL).
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Hillebrand litigated class action consumer protection matters from inception through resolution, including preparing pleadings and drafting motions. He also served as a law clerk at a national law firm, where he handled discovery in complex financial litigation, conducted multi-jurisdictional legal research, prepared internal memoranda, and assisted with arbitration preparation and document analysis.
