Overview

Defense attorney Tatjana Calimpong-Burke focuses her practice on employment law.

Ms. Calimpong-Burke defends clients in cases involving wage and hour claims, allegations of negligent hiring, and housing discrimination claims. She drafts workplace policies and employment agreements for employers. Additionally, Ms. Calimpong-Burke advises employers on discrimination matters and on violations of federal and state civil rights statutes, under the New York State and City Human Rights laws.

During law school, Ms. Calimpong-Burke was a law clerk for the Children’s Law Center of California, involved in cases representing nonminor dependent foster youth in extended foster care proceedings. She served as the Promotions Editor on the Pace International Law Review and an Academic Peer Mentor. She also served in the Haub Law Mediation Practicum and worked here at Kaufman Dolowich as a law clerk. Throughout undergrad, she served as a peer mentor and tutor, a research assistant, and an economics teaching assistant.

Ms. Calimpong-Burke is conversational in French.
