Overview

Shera Anderson focuses her practice on consumer financial services, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and risk management. She advises clients on examinations, disciplinary proceedings, settlement negotiations, and internal audits, and represents them in consumer arbitrations and litigation, with particular expertise in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Anderson practiced at a large litigation law firm, where she represented a major telecommunications company in cybersecurity and consumer arbitration disputes and managed corporate indemnity claims. Her experience also includes litigating consumer debt defense cases, prosecuting violations of the FDCPA, FCCPA, FCRA, and TCPA, and advising large creditors on compliance with state and federal consumer protection laws.
