Overview
Scott Stanley focuses his practice in the areas of transactional law, business and corporate law, employment, and civil rights law.
He represents individuals and business entities across a broad range of areas, including business formations and transactions, contractual issues, general corporate law, licensing, corporate restructuring, and dispute resolution.
In addition, he represents employers, governmental agencies, and businesses in employment and civil rights litigation matters.
Mr. Stanley brings a broad-based legal and business background shaped by more than four decades of experience in both legal and accounting firms.
Prior to joining KD, he served as in-house counsel for a large communications provider, working closely with general counsel and cross-functional business units on all aspects of contract and licensing administration and management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Stanley—formerly a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an LL.M. in Taxation—held a variety of roles at both accounting and law firms. In addition, for more than a decade, he maintained a successful solo practice, advising clients on taxation, business and estate succession planning, and a broad range of general corporate matters.
