Overview
Monique Allen focuses her practice on general liability, representing clients in a broad range of matters, including premises liability, property damage, construction defects, construction site accidents, automobile liability, and products liability. She provides counsel throughout all phases of a case, from pre-litigation strategy through discovery and motion practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Allen worked at an insurance defense firm, representing landowners and contractors in cases involving construction site accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and asbestos litigation. She also served as a legal intern for the Office of Administrative Hearings in New York City, assisting administrative law judges, and with the Legal Council of Chicago, supporting the Supplemental Security Income Homeless Outreach Project to help individuals with disabilities secure government benefits.
While attending St. John’s University School of Law, Ms. Allen was a member of the Economic Justice Clinic, advocating for individuals whose government benefits had been compromised. She also participated in the Vincentian Mission Fellows program, a two-year community service initiative mentoring and tutoring at-risk youth in low-income neighborhoods.
