Overview
Matthew Watson focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation, representing insurers in coverage disputes involving commercial general liability, professional liability and errors and omissions, construction defects, maritime claims, first-party claims, and directors’ and officers’ liability. He represents carriers in state and federal courts and advises clients on policy interpretation, claims handling, and bad faith.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Mr. Watson practiced at a global law firm, where he represented insurance carriers in high-value coverage matters. His experience includes evaluating exposure, developing claim resolution strategies, and negotiating reserve adjustments.
