Overview

Maria Sanz Bentivegna focuses her practice on labor and employment law, representing and advising employers on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. She also represents employers in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and New York State Division of Human Rights (NYS-DHR).

Her practice includes workplace investigations, employment compliance, and matters arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).

Ms. Sanz Bentivegna began her legal career with Kaufman Dolowich as a law clerk. While in law school, she served as a summer associate, conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on matters involving real estate, trusts and estates, matrimonial law, housing, environmental law, and personal injury. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Magali M. François, J.S.C., of the Bergen County Superior Court.

Ms. Sanz Bentivegna is fluent in Spanish.
