Overview
Laura Douglas focuses her practice on professional liability, representing professionals, attorneys, and law firms in complex malpractice matters, including legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty claims arising from estate planning, wealth management, and real estate transactions.
She also represents attorneys, officers, and directors in regulatory and disciplinary proceedings and conducts investigations for domestic and foreign insurers involving issues such as trust account management and fraud. Her experience includes a broad range of negligence and breach of duty claims arising from professional services.
Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Douglas practiced civil litigation, focusing on the representation of small businesses in pre-suit resolution of claims and related litigation.
