Overview

Kim Israel concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, insurance defense and consumer financial services.

Ms. Israel represents businesses, financial institutions, and loan servicers at all stages of litigation.

She has extensive experience handling a wide range of matters, including business disputes, contract claims, construction and mortgage litigation, landlord-tenant matters, creditors’ rights in bankruptcy and collection matters, disputes involving homeowners’ associations (HOAs), fraud claims and personal injury litigation.

She represents clients in Florida state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts and appellate venues, and has experience handling both jury and non-jury trials and appeals.

Prior to joining KD, she was a Partner at a national firm, where she represented business entities, financial institutions, and individuals in a broad range of civil and commercial matters. Her prior experience also includes a background in maritime and admiralty law, litigating Limitation of Liability actions as well as Jones Act, cargo, and cruise passenger claims.
