Overview

Katharine K. Walker concentrates her practice on labor and employment law, general liability, and business litigation.

She represents employers and businesses in employment litigation including wage and hour matters and prepares clients for compliance audits conducted by the Department of Labor and the Texas Workforce Commission —representing them in related litigation when necessary. Ms. Walker also defends management in claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and drafts workplace policies, handbooks, and employment agreements. Her practice additionally includes business/commercial litigation and defending general liability claims.

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Walker was a law firm associate working on employment law matters arising under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII, and Title IX. Ms. Walker has also represented plaintiffs’ in personal injury cases including drug and medical device litigation, giving her valuable experience from both sides of the legal aisle.
