Kari Shane is an associate practicing defense law in the areas of insurance coverage and litigation, general liability, and professional liability.
Ms. Shane advises insurers on policy matters including commercial crime, cyber liability, fidelity bonds, directors’ and officers’ liability, commercial general liability, professional liability/errors and omissions, and first-party property claims. Additionally, she handles insurance coverage analysis disputes, monitoring, and litigation.
Ms. Shane most recently served as a law clerk at Kaufman Dolowich where she focused on insurance law, employment law and business law. During law school, she served as a managing editor of the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal and a member of the DePaul Business and Corporate Law Society. Additionally, she served as a volunteer in the Self-Represented Litigants Assistance Program in domestic relations court in Cook County, Illinois.
