Overview
Jonathan Walton represents domestic and international insurers in high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. He advises clients in all aspects of insurance coverage representation, including coverage analysis, strategic resolution of claims, monitoring services, and litigation of coverage and bad faith exposures. He handles a broad range of insurance lines, including professional liability, directors and officers liability, reinsurance, commercial general liability, admiralty, commercial crime, and fidelity bonds.
Jonathan develops and executes for his clients practical solutions to complex issues. He is able to distill sophisticated issues into practical terms and give clients a clear understanding of the risks and benefits of any action. He has extensive experience managing complex contested coverage matters, including those arising from large healthcare exposures, class actions and multidistrict litigation, securities and derivative matters, regulatory investigations and proceedings, and employment-related litigation. He also represents insurers in domestic and international litigation and arbitrations.
Jonathan is a frequent writer and speaker on insurance and coverage issues and presents at professional conferences.
Before joining Kaufman Dolowich, Jonathan practiced at a Chicago-based law firm representing insurers in coverage and litigation matters across a broad range of policy types.
