Emma D. Baker

Overview

Emma D. Baker is a member of Kaufman Dolowich’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on complex employment disputes, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, wage and hour class and representative claims, and matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Ms. Baker represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) and has experience litigating claims under key federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.

Prior to joining Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Baker practiced at a national law firm, where she handled complex employment matters. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at an international law firm, representing domestic and global clients in commercial and intellectual property litigation.
