Overview
Emily Tannenbaum focuses her practice on general liability defense and insurance coverage and litigation. Her general liability experience includes matters involving property damage, construction site accidents and defects, and premises liability. She represents insurance companies in coverage risk management, policy underwriting, and claims handling. She is also certified in alternative dispute resolution.
During law school, Ms. Tannenbaum served as a Legal Intern in the Office of General Counsel at the New York State Insurance Fund, where she drafted legal documents related to collection matters involving unpaid insurance premiums and conducted legal research in support of administrative and appellate briefs, including workers’ compensation matters. She also completed an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Field Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) ADR Unit Intern, where she participated in employment-related mediations and assisted in facilitating negotiated resolutions between parties.
