Overview
Cody LaPoint concentrates his practice in maritime law, with experience in matters involving the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, War Hazards Compensation Act, and Jones Act. He represents clients in maritime and admiralty litigation, maritime-related workers’ compensation matters, inland transportation matters, and administrative proceedings before the Office of Administrative Law Judges.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. LaPoint handled maritime-related workers’ compensation matters and administrative proceedings at a regional law firm. He also served as a Law Fellow with the New York Waterfront Commission, where he supported investigations and administrative proceedings involving New York City container and cruise ship terminals.
