Catherine Lyster focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and insurance claim management, including directors and officers liability, representations and warranties disputes, professional liability, fiduciary and crime, commercial general liability and homeowners’ and condominium association liability.
Ms. Lyster’s general liability practice includes insurance clients’ general motor vehicle defense matters, such as claims involving client accidents with personal injuries.
Ms. Lyster commercial litigation practice involves cases of securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, professional negligence claims, and breach of fiduciary duty claims. She manages these matters through all stages of trial and appellate work, including motion practice, legal strategy, and settlement.
In addition, Ms. Lyster has an extensive insurance coverage and litigation practice that includes development of coverage positions, drafting coverage letters and coverage opinions, overseeing proceedings pending in state and federal court, and administering a claim through to resolution, including numerous significant lawsuits that allege billions of dollars in damages.
