Overview
Ana Montoya concentrates her practice in employment litigation and commercial litigation.
She defends clients in a wide range of matters including those involving executive compensation and high-value salary, bonus and equity disputes, as well as fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty.
A staunch advocate for her clients, Ms. Montoya has represented corporate clients in complex disputes, in many cases securing large settlements on their behalf. She is a problem solver who proactively helps her clients navigate their obligations under municipal, state and federal law.
Her past experience includes serving as a second chair in a wage and hour action under New York Labor Law and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and serving as counsel in a multi-million case against a tech start-up for a variety of claims including intellectual property theft and breach of fiduciary duty.
Prior to joining KD, she focused on employment law and commercial litigation at a defense firm and immediately prior to that represented highly compensated employees working primarily in the financial sector.
She is fluent in Spanish.

• Served as counsel in a multimillion-dollar action against tech start-up for shares in equity, breach of contract, breach of employment agreement, and breach of stock shares claims; defended counterclaims for defamation, intellectual property theft, disparagement, and breach of fiduciary duty.
