Kristen Swift Esq. quoted in Part B News article–Oz, AI and MA: Signs Point To More AI, Sooner, For CMS–4-28-25

Kaufman Dolowich’s Kristen Swift was quoted in Part B News weighing in on the CMS’ interest in advancing its use of artificial intelligence (AI). 

Ms. Swift, a partner in KD’s Delaware office is quoted as saying: “You either put the guardrails in place and then move forward, or you don’t and then, based on what happened without them, you reverse-engineer some type of rule to address whatever problems come up.” She further noted, “AI [applications] are meant to streamline health care, make it more efficient and affordable. Just looking at what the administration has done so far, the party line is that they’re focusing on what would improve efficiency in government. So, AI tools would come under that umbrella.”
