KD Chicago Attorneys Participate in Local ABA CLE Course

John Dalton was a panelist for a CLE hosted by the Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago and the Chicago Committee of the Japanese American Bar Association.  Jean Liu  was a moderator of the panel. KD attorneys also in attendance were Monica Banasiuk and Brendan McGarry. Our law clerk Tierney Mason prepared the written materials.

The Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago (“CABA”) and the Chicago Committee of the Japanese American Bar Association (“JABA”) presented a legal malpractice panel focusing on legal malpractice pitfalls and ethical traps. Topics covered included attorney competence; statute of limitations; handling of client funds; client communication; duties to third parties; potential repercussions; and other common legal malpractice issues.
