New York (August 01, 2014, 11:18 AM ET) — Judge P. Kevin Castel’s recent order for Chartwell Law Offices lawyers to enroll in basic law classes after a firm partner gamed his way into federal court did not mark the first time the Manhattan jurist has taken umbrage at jurisdictional shenanigans, but the unusual punishment was a clear signal that bending the rules will carry increasing risk.
