Law360 (April 12, 2019, 8:18 PM EDT) — Congressional Democrats led by Sen. Patty Murphy, D-Wash., have floated a sweeping proposal to overhaul civil rights law to give victim of workplace harassment more resources to step forward, and New York City lawmakers recently barred employers from screening job applicants for marijuana use.

New York City is set to scrap prehire marijuana tests. The bill now awaits the signature of Mayor Bill de Blasio. It will take effect a year after it is signed into law.
