Karina Vals focuses her practice in labor and employment law and general liability.
Ms. Vals represents employers in legal matters including wage and hour dispute claims, matters arising under the Equal Pay Act and the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA,), under the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and defends against class action suits. Additionally, she represents clients in general liability matters including defects and bodily injury.
Prior to her work as an associate and law clerk at Kaufman Dolowich, Ms. Vals was a Judicial Intern at Superior Court of Santa Clara County, and a summer associate at a Budapest, Hungary law firm. Ms. Vals leverages her prior work experience in recruiting and hiring process improvement, when representing clients in employment matters. Prior to her formal higher education, Ms. Vals served as a War Room Operator for the Israeli Defense Force.
Ms. Vals is fluent in Hebrew.
