Elizabeth Musser

Overview

Elizabeth L. Musser, of counsel, focuses her practice on insurance coverage and litigation and professional liability errors and omissions.

Ms. Musser’s insurance coverage work includes evaluation of general liability policies, professional liability policies, policies issued to directors and officers, and manuscript event policies. Ms. Musser’s professional liability work focuses on professional negligence claims against insurance agents and brokers. Ms. Musser takes an assertive and practical approach to disputes with  custom arguments that will best serve her clients in different venues.

In her 20 years of practice, Ms. Musser has litigated coverage and defense cases in federal and state courts in California, and coverage cases in several other states nationwide. She has experience working on matters in arbitration—including attorney fee arbitrations under California Civil Code section 2860—and she has participated as an effective advocate for both insurer and insured clients in many mediations. She has also worked on appeals in California federal and state courts, including a successful writ petition following a trial court’s denial of a summary judgment motion.
