Overview
Amanda L. Gazzo focuses her practice in labor and employment law, and construction litigation.
Ms. Gazzo defends clients in matters arising from wage and hour disputes. She handles actions filed under the Fair Housing Act and counsels clients on best practices for compliance and avoiding claims of discrimination. Ms. Gazzo also defends against ADA non-compliance and accessibility claims for both physical locations and websites. Additionally, she drafts workplace policies, handbooks, and employment agreements. In her construction practice, Ms. Gazzo represents businesses, independent contractors, and individuals.
Ms. Gazzo served as a law clerk at Kaufman Dolowich working in employment defense, insurance coverage, and construction litigation. Previous roles include working as an extern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District; a legal intern at prominent insurance company; and a legal extern for a global nonprofit’s General Counsel. During law school she served as editor of the school’s American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Her activities including competing with the Dispute Resolution Society, earned her recognition as a student leader. Ms. Gazzo received several Dean’s Award for Excellence, based on her academic achievements.
